Challenges faced – the ‘too busy to do our own marketing’ moment

As a sole trader, Malcolm has built a solid connections, contacts and clients base.

Towards the end of 2019 he was more than aware that he needed to be doing more to market himself and the work he does.

Being busy with client visits and constantly challenging himself with courses, webinars and meetings, marketing kept falling to lower down the list of priorities.

 ‘I was aware of Rachel and her knowledge of marketing in the legal sector through my connections, so made contact with her on LinkedIn to chat through how she could help me.’

"I am establishing a new financial Services business, with a different direction. I required a new identity, Logo and Website to indicate the specific areas I was expecting to specialise in. As a complete marketing innocent I needed advice on the areas i would be best to emphasise... people say that timing is everything. I think I have been very fortunate in meeting Rachel & Christine of "Mighty Moxie Marketing" at this juncture. They have been so supportive, personable and professional in creating a new identity and marketing strategy for me"

The big ‘ah-ha’ moment

Malcolm had a wide variety of connections through the UK and Northern Ireland from across the legal and financial sectors who he has worked with for years.

He knew he needed to be doing more to increase his contacts, but to also keep communicating with the ones he already has.

Malcolm explains;

‘I had my business name and I was implementing all the things I needed to make sure I was doing my very best for my clients, but I knew there were other things I needed too.

I did not have a logo, a brand or a website website and I do not really have a great deal of experience with LinkedIn and digital marketing in general.’

The Mighty Moxie Moment

The Mighty Moxie team discussed with Malcolm a strategy to get him out in the marketplace a bit more so that he could shout his expertise from the rooftops.

First up was a logo to help shape the identity of  Fiduciary Connection followed by a website build and content and social strategy.

‘Having a proper ‘shop window’ for my business has been transformative and I am so excited to share it with my connections and welcome new business through it!

Rachel and Christine are my marketing gurus; I don’t do anything without consulting them first when it comes to showcasing and marketing my business.’
